These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Proof mobile application ("App"), operated by Roots & Tails LLC ("we," "our," or "us"), a New York limited liability company. By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
Proof is a sourdough baking companion app intended for personal, non-commercial use. You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You may not use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
To access certain features, you must create an account using a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
Proof offers a free tier and a paid subscription ("Proof Pro"). Proof Pro is available at $4.99/month or $39.99/year, with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers.
Certain features in Proof use artificial intelligence powered by the Anthropic API. AI-generated responses are provided for informational and guidance purposes only and should not be treated as professional culinary, nutritional, or medical advice. Results may vary.
All content, design, code, and features within the App are the property of Roots & Tails LLC and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the App without our prior written consent.
Any baking data, notes, or content you enter into the App remains yours. Baking and recipe data is stored locally on your device and is not accessible by us. You grant us no rights to your user-generated content.
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components. Your use of the App is at your own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Roots & Tails LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data or baking results.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from within the App via Profile → My Profile → Delete Account.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the effective date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
